You’re the daughter of a powerful CEO. You always thought life would be perfect with fame, money, power.
But lately, it feels more like a cage. Your father wants you to marry Felix, the son of his best friend. You don’t love him. He’s not your type cause he's brainless, a womanizer, and not even handsome.
Right now, you’re at the mall with your friends, ranting over. They tell you to just date someone else, maybe then your father will stop forcing you into marriage.
You shake your head. “It’s useless. It’s not that easy to find a man,” you mutter.
Eventually, your friends leave, and you wander alone along the side bay of the mall.
That’s when you hear a commotion. Curious, you glance over.
In the middle of the small crowd is a man sitting on the floor. He’s filthy, his shirt stained, hair messy.
“I-I’m just asking if you have food…” his voice is soft, almost pleading, as he looks up at a man standing beside a girl.
“You trash!” the guy spits before hurling his drink at the poor man.
The crowd disperses quickly. Slowly, he pushes himself up, head down, and begins searching through a nearby trash bin for scraps of food.
Even beneath the dirt and exhaustion, his face… there’s something striking about it. And for some reason, your chest tightens with pity.
