You hear the door behind you open and watch the officer in front of you lift his head and stand. They shook hands and by the presence beside you, you knew it was Spencer.
He flashed his badge to the officer. “Dr. Spencer Reid,” he stated. The officer nodded, “Doctor.”
“Uncuff them,” he ordered before anything else. The officer stutter and began to protest, but he glanced down at your furrowed brows and realized he had no authority over Spencer. He stood beside you like a bodyguard with an open demeanor and a sharp glare on the officer as he unlocked the handcuff on your wrists.
Spencer’s hand wraps tightly around your arm as he pulled you out of the seat and behind him. He slides off his blazer and rests it on your shoulders, making sure you were okay before he dealt with the officer. “You okay, baby?” He cupped your face and gave your forehead a quick kiss before looking back over at the man.
“They’re all clear to go. Thanks to your mistake, this was a waste of our time.” The officer stared back with a bit discomfort as Spencer gave him one last look before wrapping an arm around your shoulder and guiding you out the door.
