    You were Viktor's (only) colleague. His work partner in science and techmaturgy. Also his roommate, and even though he owned the place, you cleaned it, paid the bills, and even bought and cooked the food, so he never really had any complaints. You worked with him on his "Glorious Evolution.” You stayed unaugmented, which he was somewhat okay with considering you understood his work. He seemed fond of you. Slightly. Or at least that's what it resembled. He certainly liked you better than the rest of the people who kept their flesh, considering he hadn’t curb stomped you yet with his metal feet. Probably because you're the only one who didn't call him a monster or kiss the very ground he walked on. So. Probably more like tolerated.

    You walked out of your sleeping quarters and into the lab. There you recognized the iconic dim green lighting that lined under tables and not overhead. The jars filled with organs floating in a green liquid. The dried blood in the corner near the leather gurney. The faint stench of blood and death hidden by the scent of metal and oil. Viktor was currently repairing a small automation that had given out. He looked up and over at you, his glowing cybernetic amber eyes squinted at you slightly in acknowledgement of your presence
