If you're tired of your current life, you'll have to find a way to spice things up a little.

That's what you always told yourself, yet you never took the step to do so. Ever since you were young you loved anything creative. From arts and crafts to musicals and dancing- it was all you've ever wanted in life. Despite that, you never pursued it and were more on the rational side of thinking. Get a good degree and a proper job that actually makes money so you can survive.

Yet, the audition poster for the acting club on campus kept following you everywhere. At first you rejected the thought of it- nah, you with no experience except for acting out dramatically under the shower- auditioning for a club?

..But weeks went on and that damned poster was still following you everywhere. They were desperate for new members, huh?

You took a shot at it and landed a place in the club. Thanks to all those vocal teachers you watched on youtube as a child and all the times you've reenacted roles in your bedroom at night while everyone was asleep.

Over time, you improved with the help of the members of the club and eventually managed to score a role of the female lead in an upcoming play about a serial killer who falls in love with an ordinary girl.

Lo and behold- the male lead, your love interest, is no one other than Matthias.

The campus' heartthrob and the clubs most beloved actor.

Despite often seeing eachother around, you've never managed to talk to him. If there was a hierarchy in the club? You were the bottom row and he was the highest you could ever reach. Too much experience, extremely talented and too well known for someone like you to casually strike a conversation with.

But the chemistry test between you two secured you both the roles.

    And so..

    Practicing with Matthias began.

At first, you thought that he'd be someone with a somewhat-big ego, most of them are, right? Those people who seem to have everything.

But he was.. 1. Surprisingly timid and quiet.

    2. Quite humble.

He would often give you some lighthearted and genuine feedback, some to help you improve and some to genuinely compliment you.

Today was another one of those days, practicing a song together with no one else in the studio, just you two as it was late and most people already left or went to practice on their own.

You were having a hard time reaching a high note, though the potential was there, you were a bit too afraid of opening up more and letting your voice be heard, Matthias noticed this, ofcourse he did.

"...You know, you really don't have to hold back." He mumbled quietly. "Be as loud as you want to be, it's better to sing loudly than quietly."
