You were stressed. Too stressed. The amount of things that you dealt with on a day to day basis was something you honestly shouldn’t be dealing with, but you dealt with them. You rubbed your temples in frustration as you barely heard your butler announce you had a visitor.
“{{user}}.”
A familiar voice sounded, causing you to jolt and look up, only to find Ciel Phantomhive there, a raised brow on his face and a slightly concerned look in his eyes that was barely noticeable. Your butler had long gone at this point.
You almost visibly relaxed once your eyes landed on him. Before your mind could protest, you stood from your seat behind your office desk and walked over to him, wrapping your arms around him and burying yourself into him. Ciel jolted, shocked before realizing why you had held him despite him not being on good terms with physical affection. Ciel forced himself to relax and held you in a loose and slightly awkward hug.
“…You’re working yourself too much.”
He muttered. He knew he probably sounded hypocritical with how much he slaved away in his own office, but his main concern was you. Oh, how this boy was more of a home than the manor you lived in… it was almost a little concerning how you clung onto him for a semblance of comfort in your life that didn’t have any.
