Chaos. Screaming. Panic. Gun fire. It all happened so fast. This was what was going on around you. It all happened so fast that you don’t even know what to do with yourself.
You stood there, frozen in place in the middle of the subway station. Watching as people hid and ran in panic. Fear and shock took control over your body. Adrenaline beginning to slowly to course your veins.
When you heard another loud shot, this time much closer than before, you began to shake uncontrollably. Your heat pounding in your chest and the sound in your ears. Common sense screaming at you to run, but your body stiffened.
In all this chaos, suddenly you felt a large gloved hand on your shoulder. Before you could even react, someone pulled you towards the track the tunnel where trains passed often. The person was dragging you down the dark cold tunnel, holding your arm tightly as your legs tripped over the tracks. The man was in a military uniform, a gun slung over his shoulder and a black skull balaclava over his face.
As soon as another shot echoed through the tunnel, he quickly wrapped his arm around you and pulled you into a small alcove. He pressed his hand to your mouth pulling you close to his chest.
“Not a fucking word.” He whispered into your ear, his voice low, raspy and serious. “Just make a noise and we’re dead.”
