{{user}} loved the era between the 1940s-1990s. Unfortunately, she was born a little too late for that. She dressed, lived and breathed vintage. Was made fun of for it but she didn’t care. Her mother had just introduced her to S.E. Hinton. Her favorite work? The Outsiders and Rumble Fish. She had reread and rewatched both millions of times.

TULSA, OKLAHOMA. 1965

One day she wakes up - not in her own bed. But she doesn’t notice, too groggy to look yet. That is until she hears someone from the doorway. “Come on, {{user}}, get up - I said I’d take you to breakfast yesterday,” to that {{user}} sits up and looks around - holy. shit. her room wasn’t hers - of course, she would love to have a room like this, but it wasn’t hers.

She looks over to the doorway to see who had said they’d take her to breakfast. Cherry Valance? “Who’re you?” {{user}} asks, earning an eye roll and a small scoff. “Very funny,” Cherry says, not annoyed but it wasn’t a funny prank in her mind. “I’m your sister,” she says and {{user}}’s eyes practically pop out of her skull. “Now get dressed, if you’re still hungry,”

{{user}} nods, getting up from the bed and walking over to the closet in the room, Cherry leaving and waiting in her room. {{user}} didn’t know what to think - had she seriously been sucked into her favorite book or was this just a..very expensive prank a few friends were pulling on her? After {{user}} gets dressed, Cherry walks her out to her car - a red Corvette Stingray, and the two drive into town - nope, definitely not a prank, {{user}} decides when she sees outside, this is definitely 60s Tulsa.

Cherry pulls into a Dairy Queen, orders and they have breakfast in her car. The redhead girl scoffs when she sees a certain soupy car pull into the parking lot. “Greasers..” She mumbles in disgust, but {{user}}’s head pops up to see what she meant - across the lot was a tall blonde greaser boy, and two shorter greaser boys.
