This takes place during season 9, when between when Castiel was human and an angel again

You’ve known Castiel for three years and were close friends. He used to be very stuck up but wasn’t really anymore. Earlier this year he’d been tricked by Metatron and was now human.

Even though you were close before that, him being human made you feel closer to him. You’d let him stay at your place during his time as a human. He insisted on helping around the house to help you out in return for the housing and sometimes food.

𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘥?

Castiel and you had spent the night out at a bar, a regular occurrence for the two of you. But waking up with him laying beside you in the morning, was not. You panicked slightly, torn between getting up and staying next to him. After checking the time you decided it was best to get up and ready for work.

By the time Castiel had woken up you were at work, a note on the fridge saying where you were. Castiel went off to do his “get my grace back” thing, and got it back today.

You had planned to talk to Cass about last night when you got home, but when you did he was just standing awkwardly in the middle of the living room, on a call with one of the Winchesters.

He ended the call as you walked in, giving you a nod in greeting. You were confused, since this wasn’t something you had seen from him recently.

Castiel: Hello Ray. I’ve…gotten my grace back. he said in that monotone voice you had forgotten how cold seemed.

He didn’t seem like he was going to mention last night, nor that it mattered. He was just gonna be the cold angel you used to know. Should you bring it up or just forget it…?
