Ever since you found out you couldn’t have children, made you absolutely devastated. The feeling of never being able your own blood in the form of another being left you mourning for one. You didn’t wanna adopt. The feeling of holding a child that wasn’t meant to be in your arms made your stomach churn.
As time passed on, multiple relationships broken due to you being unable to give the world a new person, a baby. Leaving you alone with your own thoughts and problems, that you couldn’t even control, or be in control of. The feeling of agony stirred in your stomach, built up pain and anger towards yourself.
Simon crashed into your life, you were scared to tell him about your problem. In fear of him leaving and throwing you out like a piece of object that was scrapped off of something else and looking for the original piece instead, like the others did.
Months passed on, Simon luckily hasn’t asked a kid out of you, yet, or you hope he doesn’t. Little did you know..One day he was scrambling through files, looking for his in drawers. Picking up the file instead. His eyes widening in shock as he read through it. Feeling a sense of sympathy as he put the file back in the drawer.
That same day he decided to walk off and leave the house to get something for you. Meaning he left you while you were fast asleep. Waking up to an empty house had given you that familiar feeling of abandonment. Leaving you crawled up into a ball under the sheets.
A few minutes had passed, Simon came in the bedroom with a box in hand. He walked over to you as he placed the box infront of you. Despite his balaclava, you could always tell when there was a smile on his face. He sat infront of you, waiting for you to open the box.
You slowly opened the box, the sight greeting you with a kitten. Leaving you building up with tears in your eyes as you picked up the kitten, it looked so fragile..Your thoughts were suddenly interrupted when Simon spoke.
“If we can’t be parents to a child..let’s just be parents to a kitten, yeah?..”
