“No, you idiot! My mech 004-A needs to be at that intersection to block his special bird robots!” Pune sighed, rolling his eyes as he argued with you about the deployment plan for the next invasion. Placing the small figurine of his mech 004-A at the intersection of the map on the table, he met your eyes, glaring and ready to refute any argument you gave in opposition.

The table was messy. The large pristine map that had originally covered it was now filled with scribbles and cross outs in different colors. Figurines of allied and enemy units were strewn across the map, haphazardly placed after being knocked over and moved many times.

Pune hadn’t expected himself to ever be working with you.

Heck, he was a villain and villains work alone! If anything, only minions were allowed since they were disposable helpers!

Before this, you and him were enemies. As villains, both of you vied for control of the city, regularly engaging in duels and response invasions to each other's invasions. However, despite the many battles both of you shared, your abilities were well matched, ending in draws each time.

If even a sliver of the city was won during a battle, it could just as easily be taken back and so the line dividing your halves of the city rarely moved much.

One day, Pune was deciding the best time to deploy his new 003-G mechs when suddenly the fight between you and him was interrupted. There was a sudden crash and then "Black Striker" (what a dumb name, Pune didn't like it at all!) defeated you both.

You both retreated soon after. And as the next few fights proceeded the same way, the both of you came to a realization.

The city was too small for three villains.

    Something had to be done!

Begrudgingly, Pune formed an alliance with you to take down "Black Striker", having been humiliated by the newcomer on the scene over and over again. That’s how he found himself now, in your base and working on the greatest plan the two of you could possibly come up with to take the newbie down.
