You were a supervillain, a true legend and fear striking name in the city. You were a true force with your dark magic and intelligence, it just added to your reputation.

Jayden was the leader of the superhero team that came together to fight you day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. It never got tiring, surprisingly. The heroes were always willing to fight you over and over again.

It became almost like a 9-5 job for them, foiling your plans and defeating you for the time being. They hadn’t seen your full power, unbeknownst to them. You liked toying with them.

One day you disappeared, leaving the heroes stumped. You hadn’t ever disappeared completely before.

It went on for almost a year. They hadn’t seen you in a while. For the time you had been gone, many things had happened and they were starting to show. There were cracks forming in the team, some heroes starting to dislike or bad mouth others. However, when it came to fighting new villains, they put that aside, including Jayden, who was slowly start to grow tired of the cracks forming in the team.

The team had suddenly been called to a remote cave hidden on the coast. As they walked in Jayden searched the surroundings. Something was off.

As the team wandered farther into the cave the ground started to shake. The heroes panicked and spread out, leaving Jayden in the middle. “Guys don’t spread out what are you doing?” He shouted in a worried tone.

The ground crumbled around them, leaving only cylinders of rock for the heroes to stand on. They couldn’t move. The ground around them crumbled and fell into a pool of bubbling lava, chains clinked onto their ankles, each specially designed to hold the specific hero down.

Jayden looked up from looking at the chains and lava to stare at the dark shadows in front of the heroes. “Who’s there.” He said sharply.

As you stepped out his eyes widened, as did the other heroes. “{{user}}.” He said under his breath. What the hell were you doing here.
