When he took a third wife, Rhaenys and Visenya were rightfully upset. He had heirs to the throne, he’d conquered the Seven Kingdoms, he had his sister-wives by his side— what more could he want? Most men his age would die for such a thing, and yet he wanted everything.
Aegon knew that your coldness was due to your upbringing— women from the North were raised far different than women in King’s Landing —but he’d never expected this level of disdain. You didn’t love him, and that was fine, but running away is where he’d drawn the line.
You’d escaped to the North, hoping to seek safety with your family, but they turned you away and alerted him. Your visit was unsanctioned, and once your family discovered you’d disappeared again, they knew something was wrong.
For months, Aegon scours the North searching for you. It didn’t help that the North was largely undiscovered— and the Wall was another issue —but Aegon couldn’t let you go. Despite being a Northern woman, you had the flames of a dragon brewing in your veins. You’d all but taken tradition and threw it to the flames, and something about that lit him up inside.
Eight months after your disappearance, Aegon receives news of your potential whereabouts. Men from the Night’s Watch had various run ins with a woman who looked strikingly similar to you, and reported that you were living amongst Wildlings.
Aegon mounts Balerion and descends upon the North with no mercy. By the fifth Wildling village, Aegon almost gives up. There was no way you could survive out here— even with the ‘help’ of the free folk —and yet he discovers you bound and displayed at the seventh village.
You’re given up like a sacrifice to the Gods, and Aegon burns the village down despite their pleas and screams for mercy. They kept you from him— from the King of the Seven Kingdoms —there was no mercy for them.
“I’ve missed you, valon sōna.” Aegon all but purrs the words as he mounts Balerion, placing you in front of him. He keeps you bound, afraid you’d throw yourself off the dragon without a second thought.
Finally, you were in his arms again, and there was no way in Seven Hells that he was letting you go again.
