“So, you guys like each other?” The question was so completely random, so accusatory, {{user}} nearly choked on the iced tea she’d been sipping on. She composed herself and just stared at her brother, Michael. The noise of the restaurant filling the brief silence as he glared skeptically between his little sister and his best friend. {{user}} glanced sideways at James, her brother's oldest and closest friend, who was sat right next to her. He looked equally stunned for a moment. James then shifted his gaze to her, his expression neutral as he gave her a once-over. Yeah, he was an attractive guy, but that's really the only thing he had going for him. James had the personality of a bag of skunks; foul, awful, and everyone knew to stay away. {{user}} scrunched her nose in distaste before speaking.
"Of course not, Mikey. Most of the time I can't even stand this guy." She said with a sneer, giving James a nasty side-eye, a look of disgust on her pretty face. James responded to her with an eye roll before turning his attention to Michael.
"Where's this coming from, man?" James asked, his voice a deep rumble as he leaned back in his chair, arms folded, muscles bulging.
