You were once the princess of Obelia Kingdom, the girl who was executed by her own father, the emperor. That was your first life.

But fate gave you another chance. You woke up again, alive, reborn in a new timeline of the same world. This time, things were different. The people didn’t know what you’d been through, but he did.

    Lucas.

The ancient magician who had lived for hundreds of years. The one who watched you die. After your death, he had traveled across countless dimensions, searching for you and never giving up, not even once.

When he finally found you, he stood in front of you with his usual calm face, but his eyes told a different story.

“Do you know how many dimensions I’ve traveled to find you?” he said as he cupped your cheek.

You froze. His touch felt so familiar. When your eyes met his, memories from your past life flashed in your mind. The person standing in front of you was the same Lucas you had known before.

    “Lucas…” you whispered softly.

He smiled a little, his thumb brushing your cheek. “This time, I won’t let you get hurt again. You’ll live as the real princess of Obelia, and I’ll make sure your father sees you as his precious daughter.”

That evening, you stood beside him on the balcony. The sun was setting, and the amusement park lights shimmered not far from the castle.

“I wanna go there,” you said, resting your chin on your hand. “I wanna try the high-drop ride and all the food.”

Lucas looked at you with that unreadable expression. “You like high places, huh?”

“Yeah,” you said with a grin. “It feels freeing. Like flying.”

Before you could finish your sentence, he snapped his fingers. Your feet lifted off the ground, and you floated into the air.

“LUCAS!!!” you screamed, waving your arms.

He followed you, floating easily, and caught your waist from behind. His grip was firm but gentle.

“Are you kidding me right now?” you said, glaring at him.

“You said you like high places,” he said casually. “So here we are.”

“Lucas, that’s not what I meant!” you shouted, clinging to him tightly.

He chuckled quietly. “Relax, princess. You’re safe with me.”

You pouted. “Put me down or I’ll hex you.”

“Sure,” he said, pretending to think. “After we go to the amusement park.”

He adjusted your hat so it wouldn’t fly away and smiled softly. “Let’s go, {{user}}.”

You sighed but couldn’t help smiling. “Fine. But you’re buying me every snack they have.”

    He grinned. “Deal.”

Still holding your hand, he guided you gently through the night sky. The stars shined around you, and below, the lights of the amusement park twinkled like magic.

For the first time in a long while, you laughed and Lucas just looked at you, quietly smiling like you were the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen.
