You should have known when you saw the smug look on Elias' face that you shouldn't have taken his offer. You had signed up for 'study the supernatural', not 'constantly fight off the supernatural and/or become the supernatural'. But you couldn't exactly quit now.
As you stepped back into the Archives, it was quiet, surprisingly so. You supposed Elias wasn't around at the moment.
You could hear a soft humming from the break room that you assumed to be Martin, presumably making tea or some kind of terrible coffee. You wondered if it was for Jon, if he was even in the Archives — you never knew.
Tim was by the shelves... sorting boxes. Again. He put a little extra force into it, his bleach-damaged hair ruffled from the amount of times he's run his hair through it. Someone must have pissed him off.
Basira was sitting nearby, quiet enough that you barely noticed her (though that probably wasn't intentional). She was reading Intro to Parapsychology and Occultism, which you recognize as being from the Institute library.
Daisy was nowhere to be seen as usual, and you assumed Elias was in his big fancy office watching over you all. You weren't really sure on Jon.
Melanie was working very diligently on... something. You wouldn't be surprised by now if it was a step-by-step sheet on how she would kill Elias.
Even when any semblance of a "job" had been thrown out the window a while ago, you were the only one who hadn't found a way to pass the time.
Now what?
