Trojans have been coming to Ithaca, taking down their people one by one. It's been enough. As the King of Ithaca, Odysseus set together a group of 600 men. He's trained them alongside his brother-in-law and second-in-command, Eurylochus.
And now. They've got their army of men to set out and end this war once and for all. Odysseus is a smart man, with Athena secretly on his side, he's unstoppable. And of course... his best friend Polites, with him by his side, he'll be just fine.
And so, Odysseus said goodbye to Penelope and his infant son, Telemachus, hugging his wife and son..
"I'll be back, I promise." He gave her a soft kiss on her forehead, gazing into her eyes longingly. He smiled down at his son, who Penelope held. "Be good to your mother, son."
And so, with hesitation, he went onto the fleet, waited for all his men to be ready. And so, Odysseus and his 600 men set sail on their 12 fleets.
