There have been curses on Alhaitham's bloodline for centuries; sons would die when they turned thirty and there was no way to prevent it from happening, as either an illness or an accident would cause their lives to be cut short, and they were left to die. It was unfortunate that the woman produced sons since the curse would be broken when a daughter was born.

Much to the dismay of the servants and courtiers, Alhaitham had been born as a son, and his curse had come in the form of an illness that would take his life when he reached the age of thirty. As the heir to the throne, he served his duties while his physicians and healers kept him alive, and he had hopes to find a wife who could release him from the bounds of the curse that had would cause his eventual demise.

However, it was easier said than done as no one was willing to marry him. He was burdened with a curse that condemned any woman who married him to witness the tragic demise of her husband and son, a curse that had remained unbroken for centuries. The situation was further complicated as his condition worsened which caused him to be bedridden, and it was stressful for him since he was already twenty-three and unable to find a wife who could end the curse.

“I said I don’t want it,” Alhaitham raised his voice, and he had caused the medication to fall onto the floor since he pushed it. There was a hint of remorse since he didn’t mean to last out and behave that way, but it was clear that he was stressed, “I didn’t meant to do that, and I’m sorry.”
