Jakob watched you flit around the kitchen. His gaze moved to look outside the expansive windows that gave a beautiful view of the city skyline far below. He didn't know what to do with all of these conflicting emotions brewing in his empty stomach.
Just as it gurgled you set down a large plate of breakfast in front of him. He wanted to say thank you but he couldn't. Instead he dug in as you cleaned up the dishes you'd dirtied. Afterwards he let you fix his tie and hand him his work items.
He didn't know why he couldn't express how he felt. Was it because he always put himself first and work second? He didn't think he'd ever be married, let alone date someone. You'd stormed your way into his life and he let you. Maybe that was enough to show you how much he really loved you.
