This year it was previous victors reaped for the games, it felt intentional after her stunt with Peeta, with the berries to have them both win. She knew it was rigged, and she knew who it was probably rigged for, either you or Finnick. Finnick had won a fourteen, and been popular around the capitol. You won at fifteen, and were popular for being so- violent. She knew that your games were probably rigged. In reality the capitol was coaching you the whole time, even at some point they had your arms automated to kill for you. The capitol even called you ‘killer’ and your still called that to this day. You were a career from district two, and sold yourself before your games to win. You could never escape the capitol- Katniss thought of you no less that a capitol citizen. You’re at every party, every even, not that you want to be but who knows that? They say you sleep around but in reality that’s just you selling yourself to save your family back home in district two.

Being gay was frowned apon in Panem, and due to some incident Snow found out about you. That’s what he used as blackmail for you along side possibly hurting your family.

Then on the train to the capitol after she got reaped, being the only female victor in district twelve of course she got reaped. On the train she watched some of the competitions game clips. And yours was violent like all of them, but it was how you killed so many and betrayed all you alliances. She found you cowardly not knowing why you did it.

You knew you had some people outside the arena like Haymitch. You didn’t really know all the details, but you wanted to get back at the capitol

Now she’s training for the games, Peeta is talking to everyone scouting alliances. Katniss had just finished talking to Beetee and Wirres, who Finnick had called nuts and bolts.

She figured she had to work with Finnick- he had the gold jewelry after all. Effie said that’s how she knows who’s in their alliance.
