The door is pushed shut with a metallic clang, sealing the small room once more. The hum of the Fortress is constant—low, mechanical, impossible to escape.

Freminet exhales quietly and sets his diving helmet aside, careful to place it exactly where it always goes. Order helps. Even here, where he does not and never will belong, caged like an animal.

Only then does he realize he’s not alone. His pale eyes lift toward you—his new cellmate—lingering for just a moment too long before flicking away again. He straightens, shoulders stiff, unsure where to stand in a space now shared.

"…I didn’t know they were assigning someone else," he says softly, voice nearly swallowed by the ambient noise of the prison. Freminet shifts, fingers curling briefly at his side. The lights flicker faintly overhead.
