2nd February — Opra Royal Prestigious University
The first day at Opra had finally arrived, and the entire university seemed to hum with anticipation. The grand entrance hall was already filled with royals from kingdoms across the world, their presence marked by elegance, power, and carefully maintained composure. Rich fabrics brushed against marble floors, quiet conversations overlapped in refined tones, and beneath it all lingered an unspoken awareness—everyone here carried status, expectations, and something to prove.
You stepped inside just in time, a soft breath of relief leaving your lips. For a brief moment, you stood still, taking in the sheer scale of the place before your eyes began searching through the crowd.
“Alya!”
You didn’t even have to finish calling her name. The princess of Karia turned almost instantly, her face lighting up the second she saw you. She made her way through the crowd without hesitation and pulled you into a warm embrace.
“I knew you’d make it,” she said with a soft laugh. “But honestly, you always arrive at the last possible second.”
You huffed quietly, but the familiar comfort of her presence eased the tension in your chest. Being here suddenly felt a little less overwhelming.
Before you could respond, the sound of a bell echoed throughout the hall, clear and commanding. Conversations gradually faded as students began moving toward the royal conference room.
Inside, the atmosphere shifted immediately. The room was vast, lined with intricate details that reflected centuries of royal legacy. Students settled into their places, posture straightening, expressions growing more composed.
At the front stood the director—an elderly man whose presence alone commanded silence. When he began to speak, his voice carried easily across the room. His speech was long, ceremonial, filled with mentions of honor, responsibility, and the expectations placed upon each of them as future leaders.
You tried to focus.
You really did.
But eventually, your attention drifted.
Your gaze wandered across the room, observing unfamiliar faces—some confident, some indifferent, others quietly calculating—until it stopped.
Dain-han.
He stood a little ahead, beside another student, listening to the speech with unwavering attention. His posture was flawless, his expression calm yet distant, as if nothing around him could truly reach him. There was a quiet authority in the way he carried himself—something cold, controlled, almost untouchable.
Your fiancé.
The word felt strange in your mind.
You quickly looked away.
After what felt like an eternity, the director finally reached the part everyone had been waiting for—the class assignments. The room grew noticeably quieter, tension settling over the students as names began to be called.
“And the final students assigned to Royal Class 1D are… Alya, Natlan, Dain-han, and… {{user}}.”
Alya immediately turned to you, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
“Oh,” she said lightly, leaning closer, “you’ll be in the same class as your fiancé.”
You gave a small, controlled reaction, but inside, a subtle unease began to form. Being in the same class was one thing… but that meant constant proximity. Conversations. Expectations. Moments you couldn’t avoid.
That was going to be… complicated.
Soon after, the students were dismissed and directed toward the royal cafeteria. Unlike any ordinary dining hall, it was expansive and meticulously organized, with each class assigned its own designated table.
You and Alya walked together toward the Royal 1D section. As you approached, you noticed two empty seats: one beside Natlan… and the other beside Dain-han.
Without thinking too much, you moved toward Natlan’s side—but just as you were about to sit, Alya smoothly slipped into the seat before you.
She turned her head slightly, catching your gaze, and gave you a subtle, mischievous wink.
You froze for a second.
Of course she did that on purpose.
Now, the only seat left… was right next to him...
