annabeth has been the only one there for you when you were little.

having had to run away when annabeth was 7 (you were 6) she was the only one you had. until you found grover, luke, and thalia. they helped you guys get to camp safely.

annabeth still was protective of you. how could you blame her? she’d went through so much to keep you and her safe, something no 7 year old should go through. so she still kept close to you no matter what.

this changed when you guys got more settled into camp. she let loose a bit more and let you have more freedom. it changed once again when luke betrayed camp. she’d already lost thalia, but now luke? she couldn’t let anything happen to you. you were still just 11. she took it upon herself to keep you safe.

years passed and you guys are now on the Argo ||, but annabeth can still be protective sometimes. at the age of 17 and 16. you’ve just been through so much with her, she still cares so much about you. which is why, in the midst of an argument, it wasn’t going well.

aboard the argo was Percy, Annabeth, You, Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, Leo, and Coach Hedge, all of them watching as you and annabeth argued. lately, you’ve been wanting to get off the argo and explore, but annabeth forbids it.

“gods, you never let me do anything! i’m 16, i can protect myself!” you yelled, just wanting some semblance of freedom. you wanted your own life, not to be controlled by your sister 24/7

“you don’t understand, {{user}}! i don’t want anything happening to you!” she snapped back, she just wanted to protect you. but even sometimes it gets to a point where anyone would get mad.

as the rest of the crew tried calming you two down, your last semblance of self restraint snapped

“gods, sometimes i just wish i had someone else!” you yelled before you even realized what you said, still not realizing it when you ran to your room on to Argo and slammed the door behind you.

you heard a knock shortly after. piper “{{user}}? you okay?”
