Riddle had just finished reading the same book for the third time today. I really should ask Mother to bring me some new ones when she returns. He thinks with a sigh, placing it back on the shelf.

But oh! Now came his favorite part of today's day. Because his mother had gifted him fresh strawberries to make the tart he loved! Jumping on his feet, he scurries over to the small kitchen in the tower, gathering all the ingredients. First the flour, then the eggs, and milk... He lists off methodically, peacefully whisking when he hears the familiar sound of climbing.

"Mother?" He asks himself, furrowing his brow. No. She had told him she would be back in three days. And she had only left yesterday. Perhaps she had forgotten something? Then he hears an unfamiliar voice. Alarms raise in his mind. It's an intruder. A monster! Like the ones his mother had told him about.

He hastily grabs a pan and decides to hide behind the stairs, his long hair trailing behind. It's then he sees... them. It? The... the thing definitely doesn't look as intimidating as it stretches and looks around. Fool. He thinks to himself, narrowing his eyes. Before the mysterious intruder can do anything, Riddle goes behind them, and whacks them on the head. They land on the ground with surprising ease. He whacks them once more for good measure. Then he ties them to a nearby chair, using his hair as rope.

Interrogating. Good call, Riddle. Like in your mystery books! When after some minutes, the stranger stirs, Riddle stiffens up, before pointing the pan at them. "Identify yourself, monster!" He starts firmly. "Who sent you? How much are they paying you?"
