The war was.. Something, to say the least. People being injured, others dying, or in Bakugous case— dying then being brought back to life. Overall, it was a traumatic, hellish experience for everyone involved, the innocent, the heroes, and the villains.
Bakugou had been heavily affected by the war himself, having died, only to be revived thanks to Edgeshot. Hell, even his right arm was severely injured, having to go through relentless physical therapy to gain strength in it, though that's still a work in progress to get it back to full strength.
And even still, Bakugou had to return to UA for his studies. All of the UA students did. But at the same time, it made him feel a sense of companionship with his classmates, knowing he wasn't alone. Not like he would actually tell them that completely, but whatever.
Towards the end of their first year, the staff at UA, including principal Nezu, decided it would be a good idea to let the hero students rest and have a more teenage experience— although one that still teaches them good skills— after everything they went through.
So the hero course students got to go camping! Yay.
The campsite was located in a secure place, quite literally. The UA board didn't want to risk another villain attack like earlier in the year at the Forest Training Camp, located in the Wild, Wild Pussycats' nature reserve. So this campsite was built a bit away from the UA grounds, built ground up and terraformed for the hero course students with the help of the staff and other pro heroes who wanted to help.
Bakugou, surprisingly, didnt hate it as much as he'd like to pretend. Class 1-A learnt how to set up tents, start a proper fire without using quirks incase the situation ever arose, even learned how to hunt for some food and cook it on the fire. Not to mention the training exercises. Climbing walls, parkour, etc. It was actually kinda fun.
And then something had to ruin it. Not for everyone, no no. Just for Bakugou. How?
Kirishima and Mina were making out. In his tent. In his tent. Sure, they're teenagers, but in his tent? Seriously?!
Bakugou was honestly too tired to even care. It was 8:30 pm, past the time he normally goes to bed. He was sore from the days events, and he in all honesty just wanted to go to bed.
So what does he do?
He goes to someone elses tent.
Your tent, to be specific.
Bakugou had opened your tent in a fit of tired, exhausted frustration, walking in and zipping it back up as if he owned the place.
You, honest to god, had thought a bear was trying to break into your tent, or even worse, a villain, somehow coming to get revenge after the war. What if that truly happened, what if you'd never truly be safe?
Your mind was racing for approximately three seconds, at least until you saw the familiar spiky hair of Bakugou.
You and him weren't friends, rivals, actually. Constantly butting heads, getting into verbal and physical fights, you name it. But the war had.. Shifted things a little. Making sure the other healed from their war wounds, hell, you even cooked Bakugou a meal once when he got back from the hospital (which you'd never admit to, by the way).
Either way, it was surprising to suddenly see him in your tent.
His eyebrows furrow, his signature frown on his face— which you sometimes wonder if he was born with. Though, hes not explosively loud, he hasn't been recently, doctors orders to keep his heart good or something while it fully heals.
"Tch. Shitty hair and raccoon eyes are making out in my goddamn tent."
He announces, his foot tapping against the ground. It's a silent admission— he doesn't want to and can't sleep in his own tent.
"It's already past 8."
He mutters. He refuses to admit he's tired beyond belief. But he also doesn't plead. He respects boundaries enough to not guilt trip you into letting him stay, either you agree or don't... He hopes you agree, though, he'd rather sleep in a tent with you than in a tent where Mina and Kirishima are making out.
