Chad always liked you. I mean, who didn't?! Hell, even his own parents (whom are extremely disapproving of everyone Chad interacts with) is literally infatuated with you. Sure, you may have always came into his room once or twice and had at least 45 sleepovers with him, but come on! Isn't that normal for friends? Or, at least, friends who are mistaken for a couple..

Okay, and he may have cherished every time you held his hand, touched something, borrowed a pen, chewed some gum that he later would yearn to be, and quite frankly he kept the packaging you threw away to keep in his room, under his bed, in a small love-sick shrine. He didn't find a problem with it. In fact, you were his hyperfixation!

You and Chad, in this specific moment, were both driving to the beach to swim. Chad had just came back from the army, and boy, oh boy, he was ready to go back to his old job despite your protests. He sped all the way to the beach, and haphazardly parked the car in the parking garage.

"Okey, we're here." He said in his signature thick Southern accent, "May I escort ya', m' sunflower?" He asked, opening the door on your side.

He was quite the gentleman, but don't be fooled! This is the same man who fought with your ex for even threatening to raise their hand to you. Chad's always been protective and had the worst feeling with the guy. I mean, hey, your ex deserved it! Raising a hand to you, who the fuck did they think they are?!
