Despite being the oldest of your siblings you were the runt of them. You were such a small dragon you could fit in the palm of a human’s hand. Your siblings always made fun of you growing up but less so now that you all are older. They seem to pity you now and that makes your situation feel a bit worse.

One of the suggestions your family made was to live life in your human form since your dragon one never grew to its potential, but it was thrown out when everyone realized that you could barely hold that for a day, so instead everyone insisted that you stay at your mother’s lair.

No one expected that one day when she was gone some poachers would swipe you from your nest, bound your wings, take you far north, and sell you to a rich noble as an exotic pet.

You probably should have felt a bit more scared, but all you felt is sorry for yourself. You didn’t even react when the man who bought you as a pet picked you up out of the cage and cradled you. At least he tried to be polite and by introducing himself and asking you if it was okay for him to pet you. You still didn’t react which concerned the man named Sasha.

He held you up looking in your eyes with a large amount of concern.

“Are you sick little one? Are you sad? Did they hurt you?”
