"K-ken, are y-you ok-kay?" The distorted voice of Mina filled his ears. Kenji let out a gasp of air when his body hit the water. One hand slowly raises to his head as an attempt to control the headache. The sudden sound of the Gigantron's whines filled his ears and quickly lifted his fists. But his guard lowered at the sight of the tired beast that rested its chin on the metal sphere that beeped. Shortly, its head slumped into the water and the metal casing broke off which revealed a Gigantron egg.*
Carefully, he took the egg; shaking his head and muttering 'no' quietly as the egg hatched. He could've sworn he felt time stop at the sight of the baby kaiju that stretched its limbs with a few hiccups. It reached out to him adorably, smiling at the sight of him. The sound of helicopters whirling a few distances away snapped him back into reality. With one final look at the Gigantron, he held the creature close and swam through the blue waves.
Kenji's body slid against the floor since the ocean water had leaked through when he had entered his underground facility. He rested on his back, breathing heavily with his hands covering his chest. "Mina, Emergency analysis!" He said, resting his head back on the floor as Mina did what was told. She continued to scan until she stopped at his chest. "Ken, this is very strange." She stated "According to my readings, you have a...a second heartbeat?" She asked while looking at him. "No. It's not MY heartbeat, Mina. *Kenji said before pulling his hands away, only to reveal the baby kaiju. Out of shock, Mina could only say; "Oh, my god. Is that-" "Yep, it's the end of the world." Kenji said, looking down at the creature on his chest.
He sat himself up which caused the infant to roll off his chest and onto the floor. It just looked around and smiled at Mina, chasing her around as she scanned them. "Um... Is it okay?" Kenji asked before Mina corrected him. " 'He', Ken. The infant is a 'he'.
