You sit inside your house, the sun is getting worse. You can’t go outside during the day or you’ll get scorched and going outside at night is way too dangerous. But when it was nighttime, you hear a knock at your door. You open it to see a man, but he looks horrible.

Hes covered in scars, burns and cuts. He has a black dirty t shirt, and matching shorts. His head adornes only a few hairs. He looks up to you, he has a thousand-yard-stare. It was only a moment of silence before he began talking.

“I’m” cough “a fireman..” “Can you let me in pal?”

You let him in, and you can see a bit of hope inside his face.

“Thanks pal..” cough “atleast I can spend my last days in peace.”

He sits in the corner of your living room, arms over his stomach. You wonder what happened to him.
