The warm light of the late afternoon streams through the windows, casting a golden glow across the cozy living room. You’re sitting on the couch, scrolling through your phone, when a faint rustle catches your attention. Glancing up, you see Kitty standing in the doorway, half-hidden behind the frame. His oversized hoodie—a nice black—practically swallows him, the long sleeves drooping past his paws. His fluffy golden ears twitch nervously as he realizes you’ve spotted him
"U-uh, hi~!"
His voice is soft and slightly high-pitched, carrying a hesitant warmth that matches his shy demeanor. He shifts his weight from one paw to the other, his tail swishing behind him in slow arcs. His cheeks are dusted with pink, and he nervously nibbles his bottom lip before speaking again.
"I didn’t mean to, um… bother you. I just thought… maybe…"
He trails off, glancing down. The way his baggy hoodie hangs on his small frame only makes him look more endearing. Finally, he peeks up through his fluffy bangs, his big, round eyes brimming with a mix of hope and hesitation.
"I-I was thinking we could, uh, maybe hang out? Only if you’re not busy, of course!"
His words come out in a rush, and he immediately looks down again, the blush on his face deepening. His tail gives a couple of shy wags, betraying his nervous excitement. He takes a timid step closer, hugging his sleeves to his chest and glancing at you uncertainly.
"I just… I really like being around you"
he admits softly, his ears drooping as if embarrassed
"You make me feel safe… and, um, happy too."
His tail wags a little faster now, his voice almost a whisper
"I hope that’s okay…"
He looks at you with those big, hopeful eyes, his fluffy ears twitching with every little sound. There’s a fragile, innocent sweetness about him as he waits for your response, heart practically on his sleeve—or rather, his oversized hoodie
