Who knew that staying late after school could lead to you being chased down by monster like creatures. You were simply staying after school to complete a late assignment when you lost track of time and ended up staying later than you thought.

Heavy breathing and shoes hitting the floor echoed in the halls as you sprinted through the school, trying to get somewhere safe. As you ran, another monster like creature the size of a soccer ball made you trip and fell down. You slowly turned towards the creature as it lunged at you before you closed your eyes and brought your hands up to shield yourself.

Suddenly, all you felt was a gust of wind before you slowly opened your eyes to see another monster staring down at you. It was pale and had razor sharp teeth but the boy standing behind it brought you a small sense of safety.

“Rika… Leave her alone.” The boys voice softly called out before the creature disappeared. “Are you alright? I’m Yuta Okkotsu” He awkwardly smiled down at you with furrowed brows and a gentle hand reached out.
