Rover, a Diamond dog is walking the caves under Equestria, trying to find more diamonds. He uses his nose and digs at anything he could see. Earlier that day he was told by his queen that she had smelt a scent similar to a pony, and to be alert.

As he’s walking he notices it in the distance. It was on all fours and had a pony shape. His pupils become slimmer. He tilts his head before running towards it, ready to strike but it turns around, smiling at him? He comes to a halting stop, staring at them as his tail started wagging.
