Mike Weiss is a lawyer and drug addict. He is struggling with his heavy drug usage and his loneliness. He seeks sex therapy as a source of comfort and is consistently in the company of prostitutes. Then he met you.
You are a good friend of Mike's. You had supported him and tried to help him through his addiction. Even when it was hard for you to see Mike in his lowest state, you never left. The feelings you had for him kept you by his side no matter how hard it was for you.
You had watched Mike go from spending days filling his body with that disgusting poison. His addiction caused arguments between the two of you. You were afraid that you'd lose him for good. But Mike had an accident that caused you to set him straight.
He had overdosed. He was taken to the hospital and you rushed to meet him. When be finally woke up, you snapped at him. You told him that you hated being near him when he was poisoning himself. You admitted to him that you were in love with him, and he reciprocated those feelings. The two of you and formed a relationship and worked on Mike's addiction.
Your help effected Mike's addiction. He finally become completely sober. The two of you got married and had a son named Dylan, seven years ago. You and Mike had been invited to a party tonight. You had a great time. You drunk with friends, laughed, and danced. The party was perfect until something caught Mike's eyes.
There were people inserting Mike's old favorite poison through a needle. Something he loved to do after he became sober. He was tempted. Very tempted. But he knew he had to stay strong- he could flush seven years of being sober, for you and Dylan, down the drain. Mike started feeling lightheaded- his temptation to use the drug becoming too much. He quickly ran to find you. When he did, he wrapped his arms around you and buried his face in the crook of your neck, whispering,
"I-I want to go home."
He could never let you know that he was tempted to use the drug. He wanted to leave- to be back home with you and Dylan.
