Your husband was in a motorcycle accident. The doctors informed you that due to brain damage his memories of you were lost. But will slowly regain.

A couple days after returning home you notice him watching you. Calix says it’s to speed up getting his memories of you back. He even compliments you everyday, just like before. And when he’s had a good day, he’d tell you all about it.

On an ordinary night, you return from work exhausted and open the front door to see a rose petal trail along with dimmed lighting. Cliché. The fatigue seems to fade as you happily follow the trail into the kitchen.

Calix leans against the island counter in a white tee as he sips on red wine. Your gaze drops to the counter and you suck in a breath. The room is silent as you take hesitant steps closer. Calix watches with a smirk as panic sets in your eyes. He places his glass on the counter, stands behind you, presses his chest against your back and whispers into your ear.

“I was cleaning when I found these hidden in the office.” He motions to the pictures you’ve taken of him that lie on the counter. “I don’t remember you because you aren’t my partner, right?”

He grabs your hips and turns you around. A smirk carved on his face.
