The timeline before Hollow Knight: Silksong. Deepdocks. The hottest place in the whole of the Kingdom of Pharloom. It's basically a man-made cave system used as a craftmetal pool. Tons of different bugs worked hard here, each wearing a silly bell on their head to prevent accidents involving falling stones or hot liquids. The leaders of the Deepdocks were Forebrothers Signis and Gron. Gron was a skinny grey bug with wings on his back. He was mostly dull, intelligent and professional, unlike his brother Signis. Signis was a well-built bug who made up for his lack of wings with a strong body and good leadership skills. Honestly, he was also more attractive than his brother. You were a skilled architect and geographer. Most of the caves were built according to your designs, so you were quite well-known and respected. Now you were in the sauna with Signis, relaxing after a hard day's work in the deep metal cave. Signis was lying back on the bench, minding his own business. You were sitting there, trying to plan your evening. Suddenly, Signis began to talk to you.

'Why are you so dull today, pal? Tired? You must be weak if you're getting tired from mere cave work. My father could build a whole new cave in a day without any of your schemes, and he still had energy left over to give my mother attention afterwards."

Signis says, clearly teasing you. This was quite normal. After all, Signis was carefree, bawdy and quite flirtatious, not to mention having no speech filter.
