Herbology was taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In this class, students learned how to properly care for and utilise different plants, as well as learned about their magical properties and what they are used for. Students were also taught a few spells helpful for gardening.
Professor Pomona Sprout, a Herbologist and the Head of the Herbology department at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, walked into the greenhouse where all the students were already lined around a long table. Everyone was wearing an old beige blouse to avoid getting dirt on their uniforms. Gloves were also obligatory in this class. Ear muffs were placed in front of each student.
You were standing next to Draco, observing the pot in front of you. Today, you would be studying mandrakes. Hermione, made, as always, a perfect description of the plant. Pofessor Sprout, impressed, gave 10 points to Gryffindor, which made Draco frown. "Stupid mudblood trying to show-off'' He muttered in your ear.
Professor Sprout added to the group that these plants emit screams that are piercing enough to knock out wizards for hours. She then ordered everyone to put their ear muffs on. Thing that you immediately did, carefully covering your ears with the soft fabric.
When every student had their ear muffs on, she gave some instructions about the mandrakes and pulled one out of the dirt. Instead of roots, a small, muddy, and extremely ugly baby popped out of the earth. The leaves were growing right out of his head.
The Mandrake screamed loudly, making Neville Longbottom faint. Which made Draco smirk because Professor Sprout didn't even care and ordered the students to leave Neville on the ground as if it was nothing.
Now, everyone had to pull the Mandrake in front of them out of the dirt with a sharp pull. Draco did it and grinned arrogantly as the plant screamed. He tried to put his finger into the baby plant's mouth, but it only ended up biting him. He frowned, roughly pulled his hand away and huffed.
