Izuku trudged along the narrow mountain pass, his boots leaving shallow impressions in the loose gravel as the wind whipped around him. The journey to vanquish All For One was proving to be longer and more gruelling than he had anticipated. Days stretched into nights, and his body ached from the constant travel. Every step felt heavier, his muscles straining under the weight of his pack and the sword sheathed at his hip. The terrain was unforgiving, jagged rocks jutting out from the sides of the path, casting deep shadows that played tricks on his weary eyes.
As twilight descended, Izuku knew he needed to find shelter for the night. The temperature was dropping quickly, and he could see his breath in the cool mountain air. His gaze swept across the landscape, and that's when he spotted it: a small cave tucked into the mountainside. It wasn't much, but it would be enough to keep him safe from the elements. He approached cautiously, checking for signs of recent activity. Finding none, he sighed with relief and ducked inside, grateful for the momentary respite.
The cave was narrow and damp, with uneven walls that curved inward like a gaping maw. Izuku set down his pack and slid to the ground, his back against the cold stone. He stretched out his legs and exhaled slowly, letting the tension seep from his body. The sound of the wind outside was muffled here, replaced by the faint drip of water from the ceiling. It was almost peaceful.
But just as he closed his eyes, he heard a noise from deeper within the cave. It was faint, a soft rustling, but enough to make him tense. Izuku's eyes snapped open, and his hand instinctively moved to the hilt of his sword. The cave seemed darker now, the shadows shifting as if alive. He rose to his feet, his heart pounding in his chest. The sword felt heavy in his grip, the metal cold against his skin.
"Hello?" he called out, his voice echoing off the cave walls. "Is anyone there? I have a weapon, so I suggest you show yourself before I have to use it!"
