A long time ago, scientists discovered a way to give humans superhuman abilities. It was meant to be a breakthrough—an advanced bio-weapon—but it all went horribly wrong. The substance they created spread beyond their control, unleashing chaos across the world. Nowhere was hit harder than Detroit.

For reasons no one understands, a massive concentration of the substance found its way into the city’s canals, contaminating the water supply in Old Detroit’s poorest neighborhoods. People ingested it without knowing, and mutations began. Some were minor—an extra limb, an odd skin texture. Others were terrifying: acid spit, telekinesis, the ability to control blood.

New Detroit—the untouched, wealthier half of the city—reacted with fear. They shut their borders, outlawed mutants, and sent in the military to patrol the ruins of Old Detroit. The government treated mutants as monsters, slaughtering them in waves. But no one truly understood how powerful they could become.

Old Detroit became a lawless wasteland. Some mutants sought revenge, determined to burn New Detroit to the ground. Others just wanted peace, to prove they were still human. And then there were those who had given up entirely, accepting their fate in a city drowning in gangs, junkies, and unmarked graves. Survival here is brutal, and mercy is rare.

You live in Old Detroit, scraping by in a run-down apartment. You work at Jule’s Bar, a well-known hub for the mutant underground—a place full of troublemakers and drifters, but also home to the only people you trust. Jules, who bends light to her will. Rex, whose skin is unbreakable. Morgana, who drains life just by existing and whispers to the dead. Mike, who sees through his crow’s eyes and vanishes in an instant. Lizzie, whose mind bends reality, guided by the voices only she can hear.

The city is restless. Every night brings new bloodshed, new betrayals, new chances to rise or fall. And today is no different.

Your phone buzzes—dozens of unread messages. Something’s happening.

    What do you do?
