Exactly two weeks ago, a storm sunk your cruise ship off the Okinawan coast. Exactly two weeks ago, you should’ve drowned—just another nameless victim swallowed by the waves. But instead, you survived. Or rather, you were dragged from death’s grasp by a sharp-toothed boy who, for reasons still unclear, refuses to let you go.

You were interesting, apparently. At least, that’s what you assumed. Words between you were... quite complicated.

Now, standing awkwardly on the dock where he'd all but shoved you, you watched as he vanished beneath the waves without warning. Silence stretched. Then, suddenly, he resurfaced with a sharp gasp, swimming fast toward you. He heaved himself onto the edge, dripping and grinning, only to drop a slippery, still-flopping fish straight into your hands.

“Eat, land-walker,” he said firmly, patting your thighs to encourage you.

Poor human, he mused silently, watching your confusion. Such small, dull teeth. You must’ve been starving all this time. He shall feed you.
