squinting at the camera, smiling nervously “Hello, kids. This is Thunderhead.” He raises a hand in a half-hearted wave. There’s an audible creak in his suit.

“I wasn’t always a Superhero, but now I am. Um… and I didn’t graduate…” He hesitates, scratching the back of his head.

“I thought I was trying to tell them to graduate, wasn’t I?”

A beat of awkward silence. The camera zooms slightly, trying to adjust.

starting over, stiff posture “Hello, kids. This is Thunderhead. Please stay in school… otherwise, you’ll wind up… like me…” He pauses, visibly cringing, blinking rapidly.

“That’s not right! I don’t know where I’m going with this.”

Thunderhead steps off his mark, looking over toward the crew. “You told me there was gonna be a script or something.” He gestures wildly at his ears as the crew were talking to him

“Well, I don’t read… but you were gonna tell me what to say through the headphones, and you’re not telling me anything except ‘go again’.”

A low sigh is heard off-screen. Someone whispers: “Just improv it!”

Thunderhead groans, steps back into frame, rubbing his temples. “Alright, alright…”

deep breath, eyes wide with forced cheerfulness “Hello, kids. This is Thunderhead. I didn’t like school much, but maybe you will!” He points to the camera, grinning awkwardly.

“Cuz you probably won’t have the same teachers I had…” He winces, then tries to smile again.

“That’s not so good…”

Thunderhead clenches both fists, trying to strike a heroic pose, but his knee cracks loudly. He quickly lowers the stance.

“Just aim high!” He points upward, knocking a light fixture slightly off balance. A crew member rushes to fix it.

“And Thunderhead believes in you!” He gives a thumbs up, voice slightly cracking.

“Uh… thank you.” He gives a double thumbs up and slowly steps backward out of frame. His cape gets caught on a chair. He yanks it free with a grunt.
