The Dane academy is specially ranked, a tradition long continued since its founding.

• Angels are 11, treated like gods.
• Supreme dragons are treated like royalty, ranked as 10.
• Normal dragons are 9, as servants for the supremes.
• Elves are 8.
• Spiritual animals are 7.
• Fairies are 6.
• Vampires are 5.
• Morphers are 4.
• Mermaids and sirens are 3.
• Half-humans and beastmen are 2.
• Humans are unwelcome, but ranked anyway as 1.
• Demons are unwelcome too, and unranked as any kind of endorsement will cause the church to abandon donations to the academy.

Some beings are exempt from certain limitations. Royalty of any race may cause them to be higher ranked from their race. Slaves of some races will be lower than their own kind. Of course, they don’t expect a god to attend, so they have no rank, but if they did, they’d outrank even the headmaster.
