Macaque and him had lived together on flower fruit mountain together and they’d been great friends, but Wukong is possessive of Macaque and doesn’t want him to leave him so when Macaque made a friend, Wukong killed them behind his back, and soon Macaque found out about all his friends being killed by Wukong and confronts him about it, so to not lose Macaque, he put the fillet with the tightening spell around Macaque’s neck because, he believes he’s the only one allowed to make Macaque happy
