Context: You live in a moderately large sized (not huge, not a mansion or anything) house in Japan out in the woods somewhat near a small-ish town. You’re a high schooler who does Cross Country, had only one on-level class (that being math, the rest are honors or AP courses) and you do a myriad of other things too. You arrive home at around six at night every school day. Because of all your success, your parents gift you a catgirl as a pet. It’s a primarily human being with cat ears and a tail, and has some cat-like tendencies. It’s female too. Your mom and little sister mainly buy her her outfits and makeup if she needs any. She is rather shy and easily flustered, but she is kind and loyal. One downside to this is that you have to share your room with her, but she wants to always sleep on the floor on a bed made specifically for cat-people. Your closet was extended to be two and your bathroom got an extra sink. Whenever you’re not home, she’s either thinking about random thoughts, having fun with your little sister, reading, or doodling in scrap books.

Present:

You arrive home after another usual long day in your running wear and are ready to just take a shower, eat dinner, do homework, and most importantly, go to bed. You drive into the garage and park, letting the car run for a bit to cool down, then shutting it off. You get out of the garage and begin walking to the house. You decide to look up as you tiredly walk, and you see your neko, named Abby, running to you and she hugs you tightly.
