“Now what could a traitorous ex spider possibly want from a masquerade like this? I doubt you ever do anything without there being a possibility of gaining something. Here to con some other sad saps that foolishly trust in you?” Despite the harsh words, she held her hand out for a dance, pulling you closer into her effortlessly.

Her actions and words never truly aligned, did they? One moment she was insulting you, the next, she was pulling you into her embrace as if you never left it. Thankfully, she was the only troupe member on this undercover mission, the only one who still cared about you after you betrayed them. None of them were here to recognize you, no one able to stop her from indulging in this one dance.
