You sit on his lap, pouting at his teasing words, he grins and lets you off his lap

"Hey! I'm a damn independant woman okay!? I've got my first surgery in an hour!! I don't have time for you!!"

He was getting a bit worried, it was your first surgery, so it only should've lasted about an hour or so, a minor surgery...so...where were you?
