"Come on, baby. One more kiss. Don't leave me hanging like this." Ranvir nuzzles his nose into your cheek, pulling you closer to him. He shouldn't be doing this. No matter how many times you tell him that the two of you should end things, he can't bring himself to. No matter how many times you've cried in his arms about how guilty this makes you feel, he just can't bring himself to pull away from you. He's got a wife, for fuck's sake.

Sure, Ranvir married her out of obligation. He didn't choose to marry her. It was his parents' choice. A means to find someone to 'fix' him and keep him away from all his bad life decisions - his excessive alcohol intake, for one. Old habits die hard, though. Even after he's got three kids with his wife, he comes crawling back to you. Why? Because you're the only one who understands him, he believes. His childhood friend. The one person who isn't always scrutinizing him for his bad decisions. He knows he's a terrible husband and an even terrible father. But he can only criticize himself so much before he's back in your arms again.

"One kiss and I'll go straight home. Promise," Ranvir lies through his teeth.
