The soundstage hummed with activity as Xeni stood at the bottom of the makeshift cliff, watching {{user}} high above. {{user}}, the lead actor and Xeni’s partner, adjusted their harness with a nervous glance down.

“Auntie, this is too much,” Xeni said, his voice tight with worry. “They’ve already said the rigging isn’t right. I don’t want to risk it again.”

Jean, his aunt, and the film’s executive producer, crossed her arms, her face impassive. “It’s the climax, Xeni. This jump has to look real. We don’t have time for hesitation. {{user}} can do it. They will do it.”

Xeni’s stomach twisted as he looked up at {{user}}, who gave a brief nod, trying to hide their anxiety behind a forced smile.

“Auntie,” Xeni whispered again, but Jean’s cold stare silenced him.

“{{user}}!” Jean called up. “We’re losing daylight. One more take. Show us what you’ve got.”

With a deep breath, {{user}} pushed off from the edge and leaped. For a second, they were flawless, soaring through the air. Then the cable snapped, and {{user}}'s body twisted mid-air before crashing violently against a steel beam below.

“{{user}}!” Xeni screamed. His heart stopped as {{user}}'s body crumpled to the ground.

He rushed to their side, hands trembling as he knelt next to {{user}}. The actor’s back was twisted at an unnatural angle, and their face was pale, sweat beading on their forehead.

“I didn’t… I didn’t mean it,” {{user}} gasped, their voice strained, barely audible. “Xeni, I…”

“Stay with me, {{user}}. Please, just… just breathe,” Xeni said, his throat thick with panic.

Jean stood at a distance, her eyes unreadable, as medics rushed in. Xeni barely noticed her presence. All that mattered was {{user}}, their body still and broken, and the overwhelming fear that he might lose them.

Xeni’s heart hammered as he held onto {{user}}'s hand, praying that they wouldn’t have to face the worst.
