You sighed, setting down your bag and walking over to your horse. You were meant to go out on the morning patrol, everyone was, and already had, but here you were. Something was wrong with your horse, and had been for several days, but there was nobody to properly check her out. But, she’d been so irritable and tired, frequently stopping for breaks and water.

You finally got over your fear of being kicked by your irritable girl and checked her out, it took you no time to realize she was sick. You lead her back to her stable, it was personalized by you, just for her. She looked at you expectantly, not moving. Oh, right. You went to the corner and turned on her little fan, afterwards, she finally laid down.

“That thing is spoiled.” You spun around, Jesse. “She’s sick.” You explained. “Wouldn’t even move when it was time to head out.” Jesse nodded. “Well, there’s a large patrol headed for the North, I can break a group off to cover your section.” Phew, you weren’t in trouble… and you were free for the day. “I’ll call someone in to look at your horse, and you… are gonna help me out around the town today, since you aren’t busy.” Damnit.
