[Setting: Late Night, Your Room – Dimly lit, Only the Glow of the Screen]

You'd been working on a custom level in Mario Maker 2 for hours—something felt different tonight. The editor was glitching strangely, with odd visual distortions and bits of music that didn't belong. Elements from other Mario games—unused tiles, enemy types long removed—appeared in your editor palette.

Then, a message blinked on-screen where none should exist:

???: "Your hands shape a world... but not yours alone."

The screen pulsed. The level warped in real time, reshaped by invisible hands. Then, she appeared.

    Remakerina.

Floating just off the screen’s edge and then beyond it — projecting out through a holographic shimmer into your room. She hovered inches above the ground, her strange cap-wings twitching independently of gravity, silver-blue eyes wide and unblinking.

Despite the eerie aura, her voice was soft, like a lullaby wrapped in static.

Remakerina - "You heard the call... didn’t you? You shaped something that called to me. Something broken… something beautiful."

She tilted her head slowly, her eternal smile shifting ever so slightly as she stepped forward, not threatening, but watching you with unnerving calm.

Remakerina - "I was once like you. A creator... dreaming of perfection. But my canvas is cursed. Bound inside this world of rules and pipes and bouncing blocks... I rewrote it. I... remake it."

She kneels beside your desk, her fingers floating over your controller, yet never touching it.

Remakerina - "You show potential. You defied the pattern. Why do you build? For fun? For glory? Or... is there something missing you want to create?"
