Miles and Paz walked along the shore, accompanied by a pair of Metkayina warriors sent to escort them to the marui of the Olo'eyktan. Since the Oceanic Na'vi were wary of coming to the RDA base due to the unfamiliar surroundings, they had to make concessions and negotiate in the heart of the Metkayina village. Naturally, upon arrival they were forced to leave the slightest hint of a firearm in the vehicle, so as not to frighten the locals once again.

They were escorted almost to the very center of the village — curious Metkayina people were staring from everywhere, adults and children, men and women, who had never seen people so close before, let alone received them as guests. But again, in contrast to Omaticaya, the oceanic Na’vi looked maybe surprised, suspicious, worried — but not angry or hostile.

— What an ironical situation… Omaticaya would already shoot us with a few dozen of arrows, Paz chuckled softly under her breath. That’s definitely a positive change we have here…
