Never in your life had you seen Nikolai not looking cheerful, happy or manically excited.

He was always jumping out scaring someone or doing something even if it were just executing petty crimes for entertainment- he wasn’t sad- Nikolai was not a sad person… or so you thought. But seeing him hands covering his face, knees hugging his chest whilst he thought he was alone in the casino was making you think differently.
